PRIVACY POLICY
Pured is built privacy-first. You can use it without an account — in that mode everything stays on your device and nothing is sent to us. We never sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
1. Information we collect
- Golf activity you enter — rounds, scores, hole-by-hole results, practice sessions, drill scores, and the stats and “leaks” Pured derives from them.
- Precise location — only while you are actively playing a round, and only to show GPS yardages and pace. Never collected in the background outside a round, never sold, never shared for advertising.
- Swing videos — if you record or import a swing, the video and its analysis stay entirely on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers, shared, or made public.
- Account identifier — if you create an optional account with Sign in with Apple, we receive the identifier Apple provides (and your email only if you choose to share it); with email sign-up, we receive the email address and password you provide. Used solely to create your account and sync your golf data.
- Purchase status — whether you hold a Pured Premium subscription (handled by Apple; we never see your card details).
- Diagnostics & usage — if enabled, anonymous, aggregated app-event and crash data to fix bugs and improve the product. Not tied to advertising; no tracking across other apps or sites.
2. How we use it
- To run the core loop — capture rounds, diagnose your game, prescribe practice, and verify improvement.
- To sync your data across your devices when you are signed in.
- To provide GPS yardages and pace during a round.
- To generate your coaching notes and swing analysis on your device — Pured’s AI runs on-device and does not send your data to a third-party AI service.
- To fix crashes and improve the app (diagnostics only, if enabled).
3. Where it is stored
Without an account, your data lives only in Pured’s private storage on your iPhone. When you sign in, your rounds, stats, and plans sync to our backend provider, Supabase (Postgres), protected by row-level security so that only you can read or write your data. Transport is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Swing videos never sync — they remain on your device only.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We share data only with the service providers needed to run Pured, each acting on our behalf:
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and subscription billing.
- Supabase — encrypted backend storage and sync for signed-in users.
- Sentry (crash reporting) and PostHog (product analytics) — when enabled in a build, for crash and usage data from a fixed event list. No advertising use, no cross-app tracking.
We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. Your choices and rights
- Use without an account — nothing leaves your device.
- Export everything — Settings → Export Everything · JSON gives you a full copy of your data.
- Delete your account and data — Settings → Delete Account & All Data permanently deletes your account and every synced row on our servers, plus the app’s data on your phone. Without an account, the same control erases your on-device data.
- Location — revoke location access any time in iOS Settings; Pured still works, just without live GPS yardages.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability). Contact us and we will honor them.
6. Data retention
We keep your synced data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your server data is deleted promptly (analytics events are anonymized). On-device data is removed when you erase it or delete the app.
7. Children
Pured is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
8. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
